Traversing connectors to find attached attached elements

Hey,

I am trying to grab all the connectors which are attached to one Element in order to find all the elements that have a connection.

E.g.: 1) Grab Connection from Element A to find Port 1 and therefore Element B
2) Use Port C to get Connection to Port D and therefore find Element D

I already know that I can access the port through

element.ports

which gives me the list of attached ports, and I know how to get the Element when I have the port.

The only thing left is how I can access and travers the connectors. According to the Metamodel Documentation there should be two connector ends associated with each connector, which I can use for that.

Using the Debugger to find all possible values and functions I didn't find one that seemed to fit.

Hi Flo,

please have a look at this article started by Sven. Its OCL rather than JS but it should show how to traverse: from the element to the port, to the connector ends, to the connector, to the other connector end to the other port or element.

I had already found that article, but somehow didn't manage to make the connection betwenn OCL, the MetaModel and Javascript (guess I looked to long at the problem).

Anyway I solved it and for anyone wondering how the Javascript-Code looks like:

I am using the assumption, that each connection is a 1 to 1 connection, which holds true for our use case, that might differ from others. Furthermore the script is missing the part where you grab all ports of a component and find its connections as I do not need it yet.
