Show specific potential failure causes in FMEA table

Hello Jan,

In FMEA table, usually there are several types of failure that could be added into the column “ potential failure cause”, such as Malfunction, Failure mode, error, etc. My question is how to only show error type and hide other failure type in this column.

Dear both,

for FMEDA (diagnostic coverage worksheet) I created a OCl custom profile property that looks up the type of safety mechanims. I think this is a good starting point for Feng Xiao's request:

This way I can filter in the FMEDA worksheet for safety mechanisms that run cyclically.

I created anothe property that shows me the type of the parent object:

// .substring(24) strips "de.ikv.metaclass"
self.element.mediniGetContainer().prototype.instanceTypeName.substring(24); // returns string

By combining both you should obtain the required information.

Ah, good idea. I was thinking in longer terms, basically a native implementation.

But using current scripting is a good approach. We may define a drop down attribute

at the worksheet where you can set the filter. And an additional column that shows causes

filtered based on this worksheet attribute.

Before I see your reply, I think maybe we can creat a new attribute about potential failure causes by profiling. Then we set a filter condition for this attribute to show error type. If follow the method, I don't know how to use OCL or JavaScript to achieve it. I look forward to you support.

I think it is a good idea to set a global filter on Worksheet level or at least causes and affects. You can try it.
