Hi Jan,

here my next challenge (with OCL?):

I want to display in a FMEA the connected "Component" of the connected Port.

e.g.

I have an Element A with Port A and Port A is connected with Port B attached on Element B.

In the FMEA the script should show me that the failure mode of the port has impact on Element B.

Should be feasible with OCL. Connectors are separate elements with two "Connector Ends", the first is hold by the source, the second by the target.

So OCL code wise that may look like:

-- OCL for ports, navigate via the connector ends, over the connector to the other end to the other ports
self.end->collect(e | e.theConnector.theConnectorEnd->at(1)).role

Ah, okay. That a bit more complex. This may work:

-- get all ports, navigate via the connector to the other port, then grab the container of the other port
 self.element.oclAsType(sysml::SysMLElement).the_owned_elements->select(o | o.oclIsKindOf(sysml::SysMLFlowPortUsage)).oclAsType(sysml::SysMLFlowPortUsage).end->collect(e | e.theConnector.theConnectorEnd->at(2)).role.eContainer()

very nice. The solution could Show me every linked element.

But: what I Need is to see all linked ports for each port.

additinally, in a second profile property I Need the linked element attached to the port.

OK, Sven, finally I think I got what I did wrong in the first place:

I was starting from components, you wan to start from ports
I was always assuming one direction but the OCL shall consider both directions

So instead of this picture:

.. you expected something like this:

The the first OCL statement looks like this:

 self.element.oclAsType(sysml::SysMLFlowPortUsage).end->collect(e1 | e1.theConnector.theConnectorEnd->select(e2 | e2.role <> self.element)->first()).role

The second filtering was missing, so the decision to navigate the first or second end, depending on where we were coming from. The second OCL is the same but with a final navigation to the container:

 self.element.oclAsType(sysml::SysMLFlowPortUsage).end->collect(e1 | e1.theConnector.theConnectorEnd->select(e2 | e2.role <> self.element)->first()).role.eContainer()

Hope that is it and helps also others to write similar OCL statements.
