How to distinguish between requirement relations on inlinks

am struggling with Java Script to distiguish between

-contributes
to

-decomposes

-sub-requirements

-independence
requirements

when
evaluating the lower level requirements.

I
tried to evaluate 'contributedRequirements', 'contributingRequirements',
'decomposingRequirement', 'decomposingRequirements', 'subRequirements' and
'targetRequirements'. Is there any guidance how to get the exact relation in
accordance to the attributes above? Upwards this is fairly easy. In theory this
is also sufficient to build relations for now.

The
backgound is that I want to create string profile attributes with the medini
identifiers to export the requirements traces into ReqIF to rebuilt traceabilty
across model boundaries in other RMTs.

Hi Nils,

so you basically are interested "downwards", is that correct? A few hints in the first place:

• requirements can be contained within each other, this parent/child "relation" is visible in the modle tree
• navigation is "container" (upwards) and "subRequirements" (downwards)
• in case a contained requirements has "decomposingRequirement" set to true, the containment relation becomes a "decomposition" relation
• the containment relation is a pure reference, no extra objects with "source"/"target" is used (in contrast to a contribution!)

Contributions between requirements

• can be directly accessed with "sourceRelation" and "targetRelation", with these attributes you can navigate to the "relations", i.e. a separate objects
• both attributes are already derived (!)
• based on these relations, additional attributes as "contributingRequirements" and "contributedRequirements" are derived

So in case you want to navigate downwards yourself (without using one of the predefined helper attributes) you can

1. navigate to children (including composition) using "subRequirements"
2. navigate downwards the contribution links with "targetRelations" (all relations targeting the object)
