Hello,

Do you think this is a right place to store latest Metamodel description?

I saw that there is support for transient failures now, I'd like to know how this property of a failure is handled. I noticed, that this is usually possible to reverse engineer the content od .dc file by opening it with an UML editor and observing how those files are modified along with the project but it's rather a nasty way to work.

Therefore I suggest to start a thread with metamodel documentation. We will provide feedback if necessary.

Yes, I think this indeed might be a good place to publish the latest MM documentation.

Do you think the PDF is sufficient?

Just for this specific question: the FailureMode class just received a new attribute named "failureType" which can be TRANSIENT or PERMANENT (the default). Do not mix this with "kind" which is a string attribute and there since a long time for tagging the Failure and sometimes in the past used to tag it as "transient". Failables now have an additional "transientFailureRate" value. Tried to visualize all in this image:

Hello,

An up-to-date .pdf file with MM description is exactly that what I am looking for.

Instead of putting it here, you could consider modifying installer so the document would be placed somewhere in the medina folder structure.

Yeah, I think in the beginning we treated scripting and metamodel information as rather expert stuff which we just passed on request but things have changed since then. Makes sense to put it into the default package. I will propose this in next planning.

the guide for 2019 R2 is not yet final so we hesitated to bundle it with the installation - hence, the situation is as before. I'll post it here in the community together with the libraries once its finished.

please consider extending the documentation in a way that all aspects of the model (classes, attributes, etc.) can be found via search. As a newcomer it is difficult to find the correct entry point, as the models are currently embedded as images.

Just as a heads-up: I let an OCR program run over the PDF. While it didn't match everything in the pixeled metamodel representations, it does help in finding attributes using a fulltext search.

Update: please find an updated version of the metamodle guide attached. However, I recognized that some parts are still missing and the OCL examples at the end needs some care.
