Dear community,

I intend to copy safety mechanisms from "spfSafetyMechanisms[]" to "lmpfSafetyMechanisms[]". I'm able to successfully traverse all failure modes of a diagnostic coverage worksheet. The attributes view of medini gave the the insight where the safety mechanisms are stored.

Unfortunately I have trouble accessing those arrays (?) for

a) deletion of all LF SMs

b) copy of all SPF SMs to LF SMs

Reasoning: Our safety mechanisms can't differentiate whether they help for single faults or multiple faults. As such the same safety mechanisms shall be considered for the SPFM and LFM. The user only manually applies one or several SMs to the column "SM prevents FM from violation of Safety Goals" and this user choice than shall copied over to the other SM column via script.

Can anybody please advise?

Yes for a selected DC Worksheet you can get first the list of components via .components

Then for each component you can get their failure modes via .failureModes

then if you want to get the list of spf safety mechanisms for one failure mode you have to use .element.spfSafetyMechanisms

by the way:

medini_analyze_metamodels_2019_R2.1.pdf does not show "spfSafetyMechanisms[]" or "lmpfSafetyMechanisms[]" in figure Figure 7.1. Worksheet specializations SPF/LF Metrics, detailing DCFailureModeEntry.

I you can collect your failure modes then for a failure mode of interest you can clear the sm attached as follows for spf:

//Clearing all the safety mechanism first

fm.lpfSafetyMechanisms.clear();

Now to copy all SPF SMs to LF SMs in DC Worksheet..maybe first step is that user set the spf safety mechanisms to a failure mode of interest...Then once done for all failure modes, script can collect all failures modes, if spf safety mechanisms exist then you can loop for all sm and use:

fm.lpfSafetyMechanisms.add(SM);

and therefore you could see them afterward in lpf portion of your DC Worksheet.

Hi Florent,

thank you for your reply. I'll give that a go the next coming days (currently on travels). In the meantime I had a similiar issue with traversing from the "dc" meta model to the "safety" meta model, whereas I then figured out from the documentation that I have to use ".element" as a proxy. May be that is also required in a similiar fashion here.

From a failure mode that already had safety mechanisms applied (manually) I was not successful in even obtaining the list of SMs programatically with "fm.lpfSafetyMechanisms". I will double check.
