Hello Scripting Team,

I´m trying to provide an automatic generation of a Fault-Tree-Analysis for a System-Design-Model.

I found a Script to do so in my Download-Section.

Now I want to edit the content in the editor, for example colouring the TopLevelEvent in a specific colour or bringing the whole Fault-Tree to the editor-window without Drag & Drop.

I found a method to open the editor by script (openEditor(FTAModell)), but up to now I neither found some library to do some advanced editing, nor an example anywhere in the Help Content or the internet.

yes, there are only limited features in that area.

Could you be a bit more specific? You are able to open the FTA but not to place elements on the diagram with the script? Or do you want to modify existing elements on the diagram, e.g. color them?

at first thanks for your reply.

Let me be a little more specific:

I have a script (I think it´s provided by you) that generates a Fault-Tree for a selected SysML-Element on a Diagram or from the Model Browser.

This script generates the Fault-Tree into a selected FTA-Modell-Package in the Model-Browser.

Now I have to expand the whole Fault-Tree in the Model-Browser until the least hierachical level, select every element (by selecting them seperate or by holding shift an selecting the lowest and the uppest) and drag them into the model-editor.

Is there a way to drag it there automatically by script?

It would be magnificent, if during the act of placing the elements in the editor (preferably by script) would be a possibility to edit a specific model-element itself (e.g. set the top-level-event to the background colour red).

Same problem like topic 2) for an existing model

I hope I described this understandable and that there is any solution to do so.

Maybe even for other kinds of diagrams like safetyrequirement-diagrams.

Hi Jakob,

issue 1 can be solved easier by just dragging the to level event to the diagram and then use "Restore Subtree" from the context menu of the TLE *on the diagram*. Scripting hat is tricky and currently not possible with "normal" script without help from the inside.

issue 2/3 can be indeed achieved by a script but only after the element is on the diagram. There is a separate article here in the forum about "how to color diagram elements"

Sorry, there´s came up one more question to the topic.

So I found my Shape on the diagram, including it´s fillColor an so on. So far so good.

But when I try to set fillColor red ( I think 10265827) the following PopUp shows up:

I tried this by a standard number and also by constructing the color by "new Number()".

Hope you can give me a hint to set the color this way.
