Occurrence level of Failure mode (FM -- FMEA

Question

Hi, I would like to get your help with the following customizations :

1. The occurrence of HW component failure mode shall be automatically set based on the fractional FIT, I would like to set an equation that will match the fractional FIT to the occurrence.

Occurrence is a function of the Fractional FIT * Operating hours, normalized be a scale.

How can I set the occurrence profile and add an OCL that will calculate the occurrence based on my formula?

2. A failure mode effect assigned to be a component failure from FMEA level.

Under FMEA worksheet I have the Potential failure, and the Failure cause now it the HW failure mode - therefore it is reasonable to have "Occurrence" attribute to be assigned automatically when there's already a failure cause with its occurrence.

How can I set the FMEA Occurrence profile to be assigned by the failure cause?

Alon, it should be "fm.rawOccurrence" instead of "fm.occurrence"

Alon, the second question (about Occurrence) is better placed in the normal support channel, its not related to scripting. Anyway, back to scripting ....

Your initial loop of course only runs over the elements, because your finder is searching for "Failables". I think the approach is still right but is missing some pieces. Here some suggestion to keep going:

There is a little trick require dto set "occurrence" which is an integer (but JS knows only double values).

The TODO is the place where you have to put your equation logic. I just used a very simple on for demo purpose.

+ Regarding my second question -

Assume that I have predefined "Occurrence" per failure mode which is a Failure Cause in my FMEA, Why the Occurrence attribute in FMEA doesn't change based on the failure cause?
