As titled, it is not uncommon for an FTA task to be distributed among different teams, especially for analysis that covers multiple levels of abstraction.
The following is the workflow I use:
- First create an FTA model in Project1 with multiple branches of events.
- Say two of the branches of the FTA above are assigned to two different teams for further analysis.
- Each team performs the analysis in newly derived projects: Project2 and Project3 independently.
- Then I "compare & merge" Project2 and Project3 with Project1.
- Since Project2 and Project3 were done by 2 different teams in parallel, it's highly possible that many events will have the same ID.
Although the "Validate" feature can reveal the events with same IDs, but it seems tedious and error-prone to change the event ID manually one by one.
Is there any way to automatically renumber the ID of "merged" FTA events into unique IDs?
The Support team told me that currently there's no such feature in Medini but could be achieved with scripting.
Could anyone point me in the direction on how this could be done?
