Inquiry for dynamic constraint script – Check Traceability between FSR-TSR

Hi, I'm Bora Rim in Hancom MDS which is distributor in Korea.

I would like to ask a question about dynamic constraint script.

One of our customer wants to check traceability between FSR-TSR in medini analyze.

So, I have a question for dynamic constraint script – Checking Traceability between FSR-TSR.

inv:

not(self.kind = safetygoals::SafetyReqKind::FUNCTIONAL)

or

self.targetRelations->exists(rel|rel.source.oclAsType(SafetyRequirement).kind= safetygoals::SafetyReqKind::TECHNICAL)

This script checks if it is FSR and has direct relation with TSR.

But the script cannot check “Sub-requirement” or “Decomposing” relations with FSR that is related to TSR.

For this reason, Could you give me any idea for that problem?

Hi Bora Rim,

nice to have you here in the forum. Well, there are multiple solutions for this problem. If you want to solve it using "relationships" as you have started with, you probably need some recursion. That's difficult but not impossible with OCL.

Anyhow, for this specific problem we have already introduced a separate attribute in the requirement type which is named "contributingRequirements" and "contributedRequirements" which are derived properties that also work over indirect contributions.

So you may change the OCL to:

inv:

	-- not a FSR
	not (self.kind = safetygoals::SafetyReqKind::FUNCTIONAL)

or

	-- there is at least one TSR which is contributing directly or indirectly to self
	self.contributingRequirements->exists(req | req.kind = safetygoals::SafetyReqKind::TECHNICAL)
