Functional model diagrams

Hello everyone,     For some of our activites we wanted to have two views in our functional models.     The first one (hierachical diagrem) is simply a hierachical view of the functions :         Which is achievable using the "uses"/"requires" relations (it is not perfect as you cannot easily choose where the relation lines will start and end but it's acceptable).     The other view (model diagram) we want to have is to have the different physical subsystem represented with their functions inside and flows between the functions.        We are experiencing the following issues trying to do this:    We cannot represent functions in the hierarchical diagram without representing the intermediate items (i.e., to represent "Measure A" in the hierachical diagram we would have to also represent "Sensor") which we don't want to do because multiple functions of the same intermediate items are at opposite sides in the diagram. Also sometimes functions are not yet assigned to the physical components and moving them would make them dissapear from the diagram.  We have no adequate way to represent the data flows in the model diagram as "Requires" and "Uses" are not really for that purpose and you cannot attach ports and connectors to functions.       Reading the documentation it appears there was other things present in old versions of Medini (something called "Actions" in 3.0.0) but it seems it has been removed since.     Do you have any guidance on how we could achieve this (if it is possible)?     Thank you very much,     Adrien

And Actions are still there, they can be sued to modle the behavior of the function. Just create a new diagram *inside* of a function and open that diagram.     Jan

Hello Adrien,  did you have a look at the Dependency Net Viewer? These are auto-generated diagrams showing the dependencies between different SysML Model Elements. Moreover, you can also create additional dependencies using drag&drop.
