Adding a Rich Text profile property, also for images
Sometimes the question comes up if it is possible to add formatting/tables/images in a profile property. There is no official support for this, but a hidden beta feature exists to add a Rich Text profile property. It adds more freedom, but should be used with care, as there are limitations. Viewing and editing within medini should work as expected, but exchange with the outside is difficult to impossible: Reporting of the contents may not work, and import/export (e.g. on requirements) typically does not work properly. Due to the many potential side effects in this area, it's not planned to make this a fully supported feature. In order to create a Rich Text property (or a Derived property with the type hint RTF or XHTML), you need to start medini in dev mode (command line parameter "mediniAnalyze.exe -dev"). Once created, the properties can be used in normal start mode. In dev mode, you then have another entry for the Rich Text property: There is the choice between RTF and XHTML - the first supports all sorts of things, including embedding tables and images, the second is easier to generate from scratch (e.g. for derived properties).
