Quickly create repetitive objects on diagrams for example FTA Events

Sometimes you want to quickly create a number elements on diagrams, for example multiple Events in an FTA or multiple Requirements on a requirement diagram. Dragging them from the palette is working but users are looking for faster ways, for example using the keyboard. There are actually two ways supported which are not widely known and which I would like to describe here. Method 1: Use key You can select an existing object on the diagram (an Event, a Gate or an existing Requirement) and press . That will add new elements and depending on the selected scope, the necessary relations as well. The selection stays the same so you can press immediate again (and again) to insert further objects. Method 2: Use - Select the tool of choice in the Palette but do not drag it to the diagram. Instead, hold pressed and click with the left mouse button to the target of choice. Keep pressed and keep clicking. Each click will create a new element. Hope this article helps to speed up your work. Regards Jan
