How to export named selections from Discovery geometry and import them to a new geometry?

The idea is to export all named selections from a Disco file and import them into a new geometry with pretty similar shape.

We can make use of scripting for exporting the center of mass of each named selection and then compare it with the new geometry, reassigning the named selection based on a tolerance (e.g 1mm). The attached script does this work.
