Qkit not able to replay the click on an Alert's OK button

Hello all,

In one of the javascript files that I'm testing in one of the Functional Safety projects using Qkit, I'm facing the following issue: Qkit is not able to replay the click on an alert's OK button even if it was recorded using QKit itself.

The code of the alert used in javascript file is :

alert(dcSheetsCreated4SysModel + " DC-Worksheets were created for selected System Model in the folder '" + folderName + "'.");

Unfortunately, QKit is not able to click on the OK button of this alert when running the test case, and it gives a timeout issue (cf. screenshot below).

I was wondering if it would be possible to support us in solving this issue and made the medini analyse QKit 2025 R2 as stable as possible.

Hi Mohamed, I used 7 alert commands in a row and could unfortunately not recreate the issue. Executing "    get-window "Progress Information" | get-window "Script Information" | get-button OK | click 7 times in a row (better use "with…" command) works as expected. As we can see from your error message, the script execution takes too long.

Long story short: Could you use assertions rather than dialogs? Would this be a possibility?

Will do. I had a similar issue with the notification. You can go to the parent folder of this forum, scroll down to the forum section and check the bell symbol to "follow" certain changes.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. And sorry for the late answer, Unfortunately, I was not notified by email about your answers. This portal seems different from the previous/old forum and notification by email was really beneficial.

For the issue of Qkit not able to replay a button click, yeah it's a strange issue but it's what it is :). The problem is that because we've at least 2 to 3 or 4 dialogs per script sometimes it hangs in the first one, sometimes it hangs in the 2nd and sometimes till the last one. I'll discuss this issue with Christian once he's back from vacation and find an alternative. But, in between if you found any alternative solution that can help please let me know.
